Greetings all,
A recent arrival from John via Coop is the final piece in a frontier-styled matched set that I have really enjoyed putting together.
First came the impressive warhawk with Mississippi driftwood stand:
We decided that maple and copper would be the unifying theme for the set, which next saw the large belt knife added:
Finally, the smallest of the trio, but every bit as impressive as its siblings:
As you can see, each blade comes with a sheath that is a work of art unto itself. Those that haven't picked up John's CDs showing the meticulous hand work that goes into crafting these beautiful items are missing out on both a visual treat and a real education on the subject as well.
I just could not be happier with each individual piece - and I'm particularly thrilled with how they all come together as a set.
It's a step down from the images by Coop and Buddy Thomason above, but I had to at least try to get them all together for a family portrait:
John - hats off to you - the entire process has been a real pleasure in every respect. Coop and Buddy - thanks to you both as well for presenting these pieces so well. And thanks to all for tuning in.
Roger
