Just shot this for John and he asked me to post. It's a little different from his usual style but still has John's signature. Maybe John will jump in with the specs.

Thanks guys and thanks for the post and great photo Mr. Chuck!!This one was different for me and a bit of a challenge as well. The handle is three pieces of ivory, walrus on each end and mammoth in the center with textured copper spacers in between and rawhide wraps at the blade end.The butt piece is a piece that came from the John White collection and I purchased it from Terry Vandeventer at the Little Rock show.I don't know what John's vision for this piece was but I hope I did it some justice! The blade is 4 1/2" of Chad Nichols random damascus and OAL is 9".
The sheath is done in the traditional style and is a wet formed veg tan cowhide core covered in wet formed and center stiched deer rawhide with a copper, leather, and rawhide dangler loop.
The client that commissioned this piece told me it is his first custom made knife and it will see every day use, which makes me feel honored that he chose me to make this for him and happy that it will be used as well as admired!!
