Just got this one in, and the knife itself is awesome. The edge is shaving sharp, and I love the long full tang handle. The problem is the snap on the sheath is defective. you snap it shut, and it pops open after a minute on its own. I wanted to leave it snapped shut so it would stretch a bit, but it eventually pops open. I emailed the company to see if they could replace the snap (info@ekknives.com ) but I get a return message that it cant be sent because the server at the company is mis configured.
I was checking it out with the sheath from my Buck 119, and it does fit except for the length. So I ordered a sheath for a Buck 120, which I think should fit perfectly, and its leather which I prefer anyways. Still it would be nice to have the original sheath with the knife.
I also have the Ek #3 single edge version, and it is nice too, but the #5 is much better. I actually like the Ek #5 better than my Ontario Issue knife, same as the KABAR.

yeah a full tang knife would be miles ahead of a skinny stick or rat tail tang
when you want that extra full confidence you couldn't have picked it any better for knife built.
i guess there should be little to complain
given that it has ka-bar dna :)
ka-bar's version of the ek is pure workhorse.
