I JUST PLACED AN ORDER FOR A JOHN GRECO WHISPER CLIP. IT LOOKS TO BE A HIGH QUALITY KNIVE. THE BLADE IS FIXED, 5" LONG AND MADE OUT OF 8660 STEEL. THE BLADE HAS A DOUBLE HILT GUARD AND IS SINGLE EDGED. THE HANDLE IS BLACK MACARTA AND HAS A FINGER GROOVE.IT LOOKS TO BE A GREAT DEAL AT 50 BUCK"S I"VEHEARD NOTHING BUT GOOD THING"S ABOUT GRECO KNIVES.SAVANTUK ORDERED ONE, AND SEEMS TO BE PLEASED. Hey warrior poet, first of all: welcome to the forums.

One friendly piece of advice: don´t use caps all the time, the Internet lingo defines that as shouting.

Greco knives are quite well-known amongst forumites and if you try the search function, you should find a lot of valuable information.

In general, people think those knives aren´t "pieces of art" but they are supposed to be strong hard use knives and they seem to fill their purpose. And the prices are incredibly low for customs.

As is the finishing, IMHO.

But, as said, knives for hard usage. So no need for snobbery, I presume...
 
Great hard use knives.
I have the MST IV flat ground for $50USD, and it's a great deal.
Sure, the grind lines and holes and stuff are not exactly drilled with "Sebenza" precision, but for its purposes, it's more than enough, and it's pretty hard to get a decent fixed blade that's also full tang too.
