What ever happened to John Hollister? He was a huge Emerson Knives fan and his last post was back in 2003? Anybody know? Thanks:thumbup:
 
He went to the green forum that cannot be named. Basically, a group of emerson enthusiasts left this board after having a dispute with the owner of this board, Spark. The emerson forum over there gets a lot more traffic. There's good reading here if you do searches to the beginning of the forum.
 
Met him at a blade show a while ago. Very knowledgeable about the cqc-6.

Known John for a long time! He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.John is also guite good with a gun.He is one of the few that can ask a favor & I will grant it at any time!

JH, IIRC retired and was repping for a silencer company. I bumped into him a few years ago at SHOT.

This thread has got me thinking to reach out for him.

Any kind words or accolades spoken about him are true IMO.
 
JH took time out for me at the super busy Emerson booth. He showed me a bunch of models. I said I'd never handled a cqc-6, and he pulled one out of display cabinet that was made for raising money for a sick employee, maybe Derek? Anyway, very nice, calm guy with all that activity around the booth.
