Some of you have probably already seen this video, but here it is anyway.

Bust out your coffee and save this video for a quiet morning, like on a Sunday. It'll be nice treat!

I found this video to be calming and meditative.

I think it's the combo of the music and an artisan quietly doing his craft with no words spoken (besides the music lyrics, of course).

BTW, they're not taking any orders right now for axes due to their long queue.

Enjoy!

I think that's the guy from Autine, here's another video...

Nope. You can tell by the production value of the video...or, lack thereof. There is no one by the name of 'John Neeman'. It's a marketing construct. Jamis Nimanis (Autine), is a former employee of 'John Neeman Tools'. He and his brother 'borrowed' several John Neeman Tools designs and calls them his own.

The talent and brains behind 'John Neeman Tools' videos is a man by the name of Jekabs Dimiters. His former career as a successful film/video editor which allows him to create the wonderfully produced 'art videos' for 'John Neeman Tools'. He is the founder and creative design inspiration behind the small group of Craftsman known as 'John Neeman Tools'. Being a humble man, he's the first to say it's a collaborative effort.

Personally, I wouldn't do business with 'Autine'. There is a YouTube video by Wrangler Star (see link below) showing an 'Autine Axe' failure. It's not so much the Haft of the Axe failed, any tool can fail. Especially the wood. It was the fact they tried to cover-up and hide poor forging technique and workmanship, partially filling a void in the Eye of the Axe by welding and epoxy, instead of throwing it on the scrap pile and starting over again. It shows me an inferior product, craftsmanship and underhanded sales process to allow an obviously flawed Axe head to be sold to a customer. Especially, when you are paying 'premium' money for a hand-forged, custom-made Axe.

To their credit, Autine stands behind their product, offering to replace it. I don't know the final outcome, there's no follow-up video. For those prices they should replace it.
