I've been thinking about broaches and the images of John's broaches are amazing. Unfortunately it is really hard to find him. I've tried searching Facebook and Instagram (which I don't normally use) for both names he goes by and I've found nothing. If anyone can help me get in contact with John so I can buy some broaches I'd be very appreciative! Hopefully he's still making them.

I don't think he makes them anymore. A thread back in 2016 had a fellow looking with no results.

Bruce Bump made a broach. USA Knifemakers used to sell it but I don't see it now.

Riverside Machine makes one with replicable broach tips.

It is pretty easy to make one from a sawz-all blade and a piece of round dowel. Just grind the back down to around 1/4". I like the carbide tooth blades. You don't have to worry about ruining the temper in grinding. You can make a bunch from different toothed blades and have a whole set.

I see. That's a real shame. I'll take your advice and try making some on my own. Thank you!

johnny_ducati_rocks on Instagram. Bought one from him about two years ago. Looks like he hasn’t been on there since February, but it can’t hurt to shoot him a DM.

I’ve yet to see or use a broach that approaches the effectiveness and craftsmanship of his.
