This folder by John Perry MS came in a few days ago. What a stunning knife!

2 3/4 blade of 440V handrubbed. 3 3/4 over all length. Mosaic damascus bolster, damascus thumb stud with Ti spacer. Jigged bone scales. Titanium liners and screws.

Fit is amazing, bolster/scales is seemless, liners and backspacer, seemless. Contact with backspacer, seemless. The back of the folder is slightly rounded for a great feel. The bolsters taper to the front of the knife, they are rounded at the bottom for a very comfortable and secure hold.

Silky smooth, solid lock up.

Enjoy the pics!

It's a nice folder, but I think the mosaic of the bolsters is not really going well with the jigged bone.

Thanks everyone for the comments!

The thumb stud, I agree that visually the stud is large but it is very comfortable and easy to open. I've had gents style folders with the pin type stud and found them very uncomfortable, this is at the other extreme where the studs were too small. Trade off I suppose.

The Damascus and jigged bone. I agee with Jos. I picked this up second hand and if I were to order it the materials would be different. I think if the bone were smooth it would flow a bit better.

I am extremely happy with this folder and the workmanship is some of the best I have seen.

I'm searching right now for John's contact info to discuss an order.

I like Perry's folders. This one is nice but I think if the scales were stag instead of bone it would be an improvement.

Great folder. Looks solid. Smooth action. Hard to beat! I like the way the bone is jigged considering the bolster pattern. Looks good in my book.

Thanks for sharing.

Glad ya'll like my little linerlock. Yes, the thumbstud is a bit large, but you make tradeoffs sometimes for comfort, ease of use, etc. I try with every knife to make it as slick and tight as I can. My knifemaking hero when I started was Jack Busfield, so if I can build them as nice as his, I'm happy.
