This is a well-written and concise profile about a terrific bladesmith, John Perry of Mayflower, AR, by Darby. Also featured are pictures of several of John's award-winning and MS test knives from last year at the BLADE Show. Nice job, Darby!

I just spoke with John and he happened to mention that Darby accurately pointed out the John has been primarily known for his fine folders yet all the knives the editor chose for the article were fixed blades.

With this in mind I thought I'd post pictures of my two JP folders and encourage others to add more pics of John's folders.

I got my Blade mag yesterday, and saw the article. I'm just about in love with that damascus hunter with the Ringed Gidgee wood handle.

Dan Farr showed me one of his John Perry folders several years ago and raved about its incredible precision. He later introduced me to John when they were side by side at the Blade show a few years ago, and I got to see some more of John's folders then. I have to say, the man is talented. Real nice guy too.

Nice to see this article about him in Blade...

I look forward to the article when when the mag makes its way up north. I have always enjoyed Darby's writing. Thanks for the pics Buddy! John does superb work indeed.
