There is a BEAUTIFUL silver handled hanshee being auctioned.
Oh lord, how it calls my name.
"Da----nny,,,, Da------nny"
It is a beautiful, perfect hanshee.
Oh man, oh man.

Bamboo, will email link- could be breaking rules.

But all I did was go to ebay and type in "hanshee"

probably this one

Ad Astra

the khuk IS a beauty

Thanks AA. Boy that was a bit of laziness on my part wasn't it.:(

Probably took about two seconds to search for kukri & hanshee on ebay .... but then of course you had to sort through the hundreds of items to find the one he was talking about. :footinmou

Maybe we could liken this to when one guy gets the new roll of toilet paper out, but it is the second that actually puts it on the spool.

Think I'll go back to bed when I get home. :D

JP also has around five other auctions going on today on eBay. Collector quality stuff.

Rest easy, Danny. Commenters just choose red (dissaprove) or green (approve). Grey means they're not "powerful" enough to affect your rating.

Anyone feel as if grade school is in session re ratings system. Do we need ratings and colors to ascertain the wheat from the chaff ? The first step is to eliminate thinking and next to cast doubt - - -

I doubt the rating system is a Orwellian conspiracy, apapercut.

I wouldn't have it if I 'were boss'. But it's here. I think it lends itself to cowardly behavior to a degree- and not a very important degree. People can annonimously take shots at you. Many have decided if they are going to leave a red mark, they'll sign too. So we see 'honor' is still available to those who practise it.

I don't recall welcoming you here, apapercut, and if I haven't, let me say now you are very welcome here.

Could be mistaken, but doesn't the grey chiclet come up when someone tries to give rep on a person they have recently given rep to already?

Does that sentence make any sense?

I got a grey chiclet on this same thread. I don't think it is necessarily a negative thing, probably not even close.

But I have been wrong before, so very wrong ....

munk...I just now tried to give you a watering. Of course, it wouldn't let me as being too soon. Did you just get a grey from me? (12:11 EST)

Cougar wrote a Rep Point FAQ at http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=344934 .

He says

What does a gray (blue, purple) square mean?

A gray square, which might look blue or purple if your monitor isn't calibrated very well (you might want to adjust that) means somebody tried to rate your post but the system wouldn't let him. That could be because he rated another post of yours recently, or because he's been running around humping everybody's leg like an overexcited weiner dog, or because his own rating is so negative the system figures nobody cares what he thinks of their posts.

There is no way to tell whether he intended to give your post a positive or negative rating; the system stopped him before he got that far.
I've received grey chiclets with comments attached, so I know at least sometimes the system lets them get as far as writing comments prior to assigning a grey color.

I'm a weiner dog.

I like the positive reinforcement that good comments give, and I hate giving BTC what he wants, but I do.

Bismark just tried to leave water for me in another thread...the system wouldn't let him and no grey appeared.

At work, I would put in a deficiency report because the system isn't acting in accordance with it's documentation.

Here, I will just continue to ignore the greys...
