I got this in a trade, and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. Good walk and talk, half stops with flush springs, no play or gaps and it got wicked sharp with a few passes on an extra fine DMT. Here's some quick cel phone pics...

I'm really digging the art deco bolsters, and it feels great in the hand. Can anyone tell me approximately when this was made? From my research the star means it was made by Boker for John Primble, and I can just make out "John Primble finest steel" on the mark blade.

Since somebody went dremel happy on the blades I assume any collector value is gone...I'm thinking of turning one of the sheepsfoot blades into a wharnecliff. What do you guys think?

Thanks for looking,
~Chip

This was made by Boker USA, if I recall correctly somewhere between 1946-85 I'm sure a more educated member will come with the correct date.
The star stamp and the bolsters indicates Boker. Nice knife overall.

Your knife was made by Boker for Belknap Hardware between 1940-1968. As far as the sheepsfoot to wharncliffe, it is you knife, but, personally I wouldn't. :)

Thanks for the info, it doesn't get more definitive than that I'd imagine.

I got bored last night and couldn't help myself :) I reground the tip of the mark blade into a bit of a wharnie and did a quick forced patina with some ferric chloride. It really helps hide the dremel work, I'm really happy with the way it came out.
