I have been going through my grand dads tools and wood working things. I came across two pocket knives. One being the john primble. I dont know much about them. But can make out the markings. I would love to know when they were made. My grand dad was a cabnet maker for Thomasville furniture for 55years. These knives have seen ALOT of work. The blades are really worn... and razor sharp. They have been in a wooden chest in my dads basement. He has recently passed... thus being the reason i have the knives. Any info would be awesome.

"John Primble" was a brand name used by Belknap Hardware. Belknap outsourced their knives. Their John Primble line was one of their premium lines. There were multiple outfits who supplied them. You can Google search Belknap Hardware. They were a huge outfit at one time. Belknap was active 1890 to ~1970's, I think.

Welcome to the forum! My condolences for the loss of your father. I lost mine several years ago and it still hurts. He was my best friend.
