Here, in memory of John White (1943-2014), is the page displaying
his 4 Legacy Bowies.

From my next book, "The World of Art Knives" Vol. III (2015)

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

The background is stately, the knives looks surprisingly consistent (four images over the course of three years), and the display composition is masterful.

A pleasure to witness as a group. Props to you, David. Smiles to John.

A wonderful page.

Coop

fantastic image!

Curious if Eric shot these or Coop?

Looks wonderful especially that steel.

Three of the knives were extracted from Coop's masterful photography and one
was photographed by Chuck Ward.

I brought together 4 photographs shot over a course of several years
into one page that pays tribute to a Master....

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

David,

That image is a marvel.
What a grouping.
Thank you for showing it.

I'm very impressed. Its not easy for me to extract images from backgrounds well.

Jon, every knife illustration in every one of my 10 books (so far) was created
in a similar way.

Living far from where everything is happening, I had to use world class images
created by several photographers and manipulate their content (with permission!)
to create the new pictures for my books.

This is a very accurate and tedious work, demanding 2-6 hours of meticulous
Photoshop processing for each page I create!
Lucky for me I know how to do this and enjoy every moment!!

Here is one example of creating a full page illustration using three
high quality images photographed by Eric Eggly of Point Seven Studios.

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

How are collectors going to be able to purchase and access the books this time David? Soon I will run out of bookshelf space lol. Looking forward to this book too. Have a couple coming from Francesco also. Enjoy every minute of looking at all the knife images from the many creators of the fine photos of knives available for collectors. Nothing beats the real thing of course but to be able to view and see knives from so many makers so well presented by folks such as yourself is a real joy for me and all the other collectors who have purchased these works of art in pictures. Thanks so very much for all your efforts.

Yeah David I knew that you spend hours doing this over the years, but its still very impressive! Any change I'll ever get that chance I lost to show some of my knives? :)

Hmmm, Jon, it is a bit too late now as every page in my next book is spoken for...
But remaining optimistic is always good.... Who knows what can happen between
today and the closing of the book?

All the best,

Murray, if all goes well, Dave Harvey of Solvang will have 400-500 copies of the book.
It will probably be towards the end of April 2015....

That is great David as I'm sure he will be at Blade too so I can either order and have shipped or he might bring and I can arrange for it to come to me with a fellow Canuck if we don't attend.
