Ever since I've been coming here, I've admired the pic's posted of John's cases and stands. Now I've had the good fortune to make a deal with him for one of his wooden folders for my 7-yr.old son to learn the proper handling and care of knives. The knife arrived yesterday and it is just beautiful. I wish you folks could have seen the smile on my boy's face when he got home from school and saw what was waiting for him. John deserves a lot of credit, not only for his excellent craftsmanship, but also for the concept of a project like this.

John is good people, as they say, and his work is warm looking and a nice finish on them. Glad that you posted this as it's good to say nice things about folks, better than some threads that just drag people through the mud....

Good going John!

Richard, skip the wooden stuff! What the boy needs is a CHANG KNIFE!

Hry Richard..

The smile on your son's face is exactly as the smile on my son's face...My son got one as well and likes it very much....

He plays with it quite often and then goes back on a special place on his shelf so it won't get broken..

John does a Great job on those wooden blades,, but boy are they ever a pain to sharpen..
