Here is a knife done in the style of a "Johnson Dirk" the Johnson being SR. John Young is definetly one of the more sought after makers today, try to find one for sale.

The workmanship on Young knives is just incredible. Many Loveless, Johnson collectors are squirreling away the Youngs, definetly a maker to watch.

Beautiful.Looks like an S.R.Johnson.I didn't like those grinds and then I saw a Johnson,he sure does them right and it looks like this gentleman does too.Does he do sub-hilts? Thanks for posting.

WOW:thumbup:  Very nice. I have the same model coming later this month with mammoth ivory and mosaic pins.

Great Pics...John is a very fine gentleman, and a very talented Maker.....he does subhilts and everthing in between.......I visited with him at the last Guild show where only He and Steve Johnson had lotteries for their knives.......Fantastic work on both counts:cool:

Get knives from John at the bargain prices they are now while you can. I don't think it will too long in the future that his prices will be up there with Steve Johnson's.

So are you saying you do, or do not like the grinds, or they are now ok, because they look like Steve's work. No burn here, just confused. Steve J doed great work. Looks like Young is definatly on the right track. The grinding style is very similar Loveless. Looks good to me.;) M. Lovett http://home.earthlink.net/~michaellovett/
