Here is a recent acquisition, the fit and finish is unlike any folder that I have held. Johnny normally uses three screws on the handle material on his "S bolster" knives, this one does not have the third screw, which I find really helps the flow of the knife. The proud fit ivory is extremely well done and I am a big fan of Alice's engraving. Lots of little nuances on this knife that I find the more I handle and admire it. A few of my pics, with pics from Caleb that I will add as soon as he is done with them. Johnny is the definition of a gentlemen and was great to work with. Claude Scott is making me a elephant skin pouch to carry it in.Comments welcome and thanks for looking,

This is one of the most beautiful things I have seen in a long time. Incredible! Will you be carrying it and if so, in what circumstances?

Congratulations on such an impressive acquisition!

That is all kinds of awesome right there! So very nice in every way.

Post the sheath up when Claude makes it. Are you coming to Seattle?

Wow.....impressive. Looks like ivory in the thumb stud?

Thank you, and it will carried on special occasions, hopefully this coming week.

Thanks John, I won't be able to make to the show this year, my wife is due any day now with our daughter, Paige. I hope the show is even better that last year and look forward to next year.

Darcy:)

Thanks Darcy, indeed it is ivory in the stud.

Thanks for the kind comments, it really is an impressive piece and I look forward to Caleb's pictures.

Wow Kris! Love the mammoth coloring in this one. You've really gone high class with this one. Across the board wow!

Yes Sir, I don't think you can get any better than this. Off the charts.
Cheers Keith

I am usually not a fan of engraving on Damascus, but in this case it works very well for me. And I am a big fan of Jerry Rados' Damascus.

Overall, I like it very much. Congrats on a very nice acquisition.

It's a striking piece Kris... At first I assumed it was another collaboration piece Johnny had done with Jim Small... I personally haven't heard, or seen engraving by Alice Carter...

That's the great part to me of coming to Blade Forums each week... Finding information and examples of work done by knife makers, engravers, damascus steel makers, photographers, new handle materials, etc...

A big thumbs up from me on a wonderful art folder you have added to your collection... Way Cool... Best Regards, Rich Slaughter

I've always been a Johnny Stout fan. This one is extra nice and with the addition of the Claude Scott pouch it will be fun to carry every day.
The engraving on the damascus is cool I think.

OMG AMAZING! Words do not suffice, I need one of those wolf-with-eyes-bugging-out gifs, and a klaxon horn sound effect
