Yesterdays mail brought a new knife but this one was not for me. John (Stomper) at JK Knives here on BF was nice enough to make a small fixed blade for someone deserving as he put it. Well the person he chose was my girlfriend. When i let here know she was very excited to recieve what would be her first knife. Once again thank you John, we really appreciate it. Heres some pics of the knife.
In sheath photos. Fit and Finish on sheath is outstanding, theres one solid piece for the front including the firestool loop. And another solid piece on the back including the belt loop.

The blade. Once again Johns fit and finish on the blade is perfect. Even grinds and smooth surfaces all around. The edge comes very sharp and needed no work.
The handle is deffinatly one of the best ive seen and it fits her hand perfectly. Unfortionalty not mine, but shes happy about that.
Next she decided to test out the firesteel, the detail on the handle of that matches the quality of the knife. She was able to throw sparks easily and this marks another first for her.
She cought the wood but it was a little wet so it wouldnt burn very good but it was lit.
Overall she is extreamly happy with the gift John and she cant thank you enough.
The part that amaizes me about this hole situation is how random it was. John could have easily sold this knife for a good amount but decided to PM me one night and say he was giving it to her. This is just one more example of why i will continue to support Johns work.
