Many of you know what a pleasure it is to interact with Rick and Ken, so I won't go on about it too much. However, I will say that Ken is an incredibly patient man. The knife I originally asked him for was one of his Texas toothpicks, but I changed my mind completely by the time he contacted me to tell me that he was ready to start on it. I'm glad he was such a good sport about the whole ordeal, and I wager you won't see too many other slimline spey blade trappers. I couldn't be happier with the knives I got from both gentlemen, not least because they both typically work with ATS-34, but Rick used D2 and Ken used O1.
I'd told myself that I wasn't going to buy any more knives for a while, but then I saw Keith Johnson's sodbuster. I figured since it was a carbon steel and had green canvas micarta scales, it was meant to be.
