A nice little Mnandi to refocus my collecting - Jigged Madagascar Rosewood. Beautiful, light, sharp. I think I'll need a Large Seb next:

Nice, one of me favorites. Welcome to the addiction. A great choice BTW for your next. The large will suit your everyday needs to be sure.

Added a small classic silver lug to the family. At first I freaked! It seemed to not sound OK, and it folded on me hitting it on my mouse pad. AHHHH!!! Tried again, same thing. So I took it apart, cleaned, tuned, lubed... still did it. Second take down, less lube and stuff. Plus, the tang was mirror polished where the lock bar sits... didn't seem right, so I roughed it up a touch with some emery cloth. Just took the shine off, micro-scratches and all that. Seems OK now. And the sound seemed right. Being in Canada, I am not in a position to send it back. BUT, now that I've tuned it up, I think we're good to go. Can't say I wasn't EXTREMELY disappointed, but if it's cleared up, I am happy. Great little EDC. After about a week or so of testing and using, I'll be 100% on this knife, as long as I don't get another lock slip.

Did you get your small classic silver lug used?? It sounds like it was a used knife. That is too bad that you can't send it back, as CRK would be happy to fix that for you. That is unusual for a Sebbie to fail.

Not used, from The Reputable Dealer up here ;). And I do not doubt that the knife was new and unused, but that mirror polished tang really did bug me. Are your Sebbies like that?

Be sure that the washers are seated correctly. If your not careful one may slide up under the bushing causing all sorts of opening, closing, and lockup problems. How far does the lockbar come over onto the blade tang?

Btw, I'm looking for a copy of "The Bitch Of The South" (ex-wife) to do some phot's with! ;) :)

check those washers

Yeah, she's cool now. Too much lube? A tweak? Anyway, lock and tang are dry and after a few cycles, things seem good. No longer worried!

Good luck finding the book!
