Recently got a XM-18 3.5" spanto, all stonewashed in CTS-XHP with blue titanium spacers! This is my first Hinderer and I absolutely love it. Definitely one step above the similar ZT 0550 or 0560. Great knife and I don't think I am going to let this out of my paws anytime in the near future!

For my next one, would people recommend the XM-24 or the 3" XM-18?

And of course some pictures to show off the catch!

Nice XM.

As for the "next one"...24 if you want a workhorse, and 3" if you want a robust and handy EDC.

IMO, that is a mighty big step (and I own 550s and 56Xs as well)

Yes. :)

Welcome and congrats on an awesome knife!!! The 3" is the one I use the most for every day tasks and it's very sheeple friendly!

Congrats, that is a knife that will easily serve you the rest of your life! I recommend a 3 inch slicer.

Hi Benm11, great knife. Just like mine except for the spacer and G-10 color. I would go with the 3" slices. I carry the 3" everyday and most of the time accompanied by my 3.5". Not sure why I carry both but it just feel right.

Ben - Welcome. You hit the ball into the second tier right off the bat. Congrats:thumbup:
As N2K alluded to, a 3" makes a nice EDC as well and I will add - when the weather turns warm and the clothes get light the 3" is really nice.
The 24 is a Monster Tactical Zombie Killer - Great Knife to have when you need it. Smaller knives do not do what a Big Knife does when you Need a Big Knife.
ALL three (3) is a good (and probable) end result.

All 3 sizes does seem to be popular for many of us.

Speaking only for myself...most often, it's a pair for EDC. 3.5" Spanto Flipper paired with a 3" Slicer Flipper when around the house / similar. And the same 3.5" paired with a 24 Spanto Flipper whenever I'm out in the world.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I will probably go with the 3" model next (after a bit of saving up) since it is a bit more practical than the 24! However, in the end I have a feeling I will end up with a nice trio.

Once you get the first trio, you'll need the trio of both sliper and spanto grind. :D :D
