Greetings all…I'm new to this forum. I have two Peanuts…a rough jigged black synthetic in stainless steel, and a yellow in CV. Any possibility of joining the Cult of the Peanut?

All are certainly welcome. :) There's a sizeable Peanut Cult thread you will enjoy. It's got lots of pics n discussion on the beloved Peanut.

Nice to have you on board.

Both my peanuts are Cases…I bought them both after reading numerous posts on the Peanut Cult thread on this forum. They are the perfect 5th pocket knife, bar none.

What do you mainly use yours for? Since I work at a public school, mine are limited to opening envelopes or cutting the occasional box or string (traditional knives are usually frowned upon in a public school…a multi-tool or SAK is more accepted…the small size of the peanut is an exception). I live on an acreage, so I always have a knife with me outdoors. I find the peanuts a little undermanned except for cutting twine. Right now, I carry an older 3 1/4 " Kershaw lock back instead.

My favorite thing about the peanut is that the pattern reminds me of my grandfather's jack knives. His were a little bigger, but still the two bladed jack design.

I use mine for cutting anything that might need cutting. Apples, tomatoes, string, finger nails, envelopes..... I use the clip for food and the pen for other stuff.
