Joint Spyderco-Spiderman Movie Promotion?

Just a thought: Since one of the big movies this year will be Spiderman the Movie, I was thinking maybe Spyderco will come up with something special to coincide with the worldwide release of the movie.

Is this allowed or will be there be a copyright violation?
Maybe Spyderco can jointly release a knife with the Spiderman emblem on one side of the blade and Spyderco logo the other.

This is just thinking on the wild side. Imagine what this can do for Spyderco. Hey, there might not be another Spiderman movie in the next 10 years!

Let's be thankful, it's not Praying Mantis the Movie.

All those in favour of the Endura being the movie mascot with the relevant emblem and logo, raise your hands. :D :D
 
I think that would definately be cool. However, I would be in favor of the FRN handles being done up with the Spyderman logo and, dare I dream, a spyderweb pattern on the handles. That would be cool.
 
Have you ever seen the Co-Pilot that A.G. Russell had a few years back?? It had a spiderweb on the handle. It was very nice. I think they did one that had a white bone with the design on it, and then followed it up with just the spiderweb on SS handles. Maybe someone has a pic.

Never seen it. For the Spyderco/spyderman I think the combo of the web and FRN would be ideal. Reason being is that FRN will be inexpensive so the knon-knuts are more likely to get it, thus getting into quality cutlery. Man, now I am getting all excited about the idea and it will most probably never come to be. Darn. This is why thinking only gets me into trouble, lol.
 
im thinking an endurda with a frn handle spyderweb pattern ,spidie man logo black blade and re and blue marbled frn
at least thats what came to mind when i read the title of this thread

That handle would indeed be cool in red/blue marble with a spyderweb pattern. I think the blade would be best plain though. I think a black blade would clash with the red/blue handle. I would like the Spiderman logo on the blade, but do the logo in black on a polished blade.
 
LOL, I am flexible on just about all of it considering I doubt it will happen (feel free to prove me wrong, though, Sal.). I think a polished blade will look sweet with that red/blue handle. I also think a black blade might look too "evil" for Spiderman. Maybe a knife for Venom too though? We can dream can't we?
 
An blue/red marbled R would definately be sweet with the spyderman logo in the blade pattern.
