I made up that name just now, but it's my knife and Jon Christensen and Tom Ferry didn't suggest a name for it. I got it for free! Sort of. It was at BLADE Show last year and I'd bought a knife from Mike Vagnino, one of the four ACE(Artisans of Cutlery) guys that also includes David Lisch.
So, Mike enters my name into a drawing for this knife. I actually won. Unreal. :D
The knife was cool on it's on, but a good knife needs a sheath. Jon suggested the silver throat and tip style, but in stainless to match the guard and fittings. Tom Ferry engraved the striking star motifs, which fit the knife so well.
The knife itself features appealing elements of Jon's artistic style. When the sheath arrived to complete the package I was surprised by the amped up synergy going on. Artisans of Cutlery, indeed!
Blade: Quilted Feathers mosaic damascus with massive voodoo chatoyance. 7 3/4 inches
Handle: carved African Blackwood
OAL: 12 1/2 inches

That is an AWESOME knife and sheath. The engraving really looks great and ties the knife and sheath together very nicely.

I remember being there when you told me you got picked. It was another blast to a dizzying weekend.

Now the project has taken time to really 'feel the power', and I think the choice of this sheath could not have been measured better. It fits like an Armani suit.

Buddy, your photo is a testament to clarity, new information, and clever composition. A+!

Good post. Congrats to the makers and to Buddy T.

I've also seen this knife in person at Jon's shop and know what you mean about the chatoyance in the blade. It is unreal.

Jon's work is pretty much flawless on this, like on all his knives. :) Tom perfectly complimented the knife and sheath with his engraving.

Jon makes some really visually striking pieces and this one is one of my all time favorites.

Great photo and congrats on picking this one up.

Knife and sheath combine for a tremendously impressive package - congrats Buddy!

That's a real beauty! Do you have any closer shots of the blade? It's hard to see the damascus, I'm sure it's stunning.
