Knife maker Jon Graham passed away per knifenews. Graham was the maker of the unique Razel knives. RIP

RIP Jon Graham.

Years ago, Quiet Quiet was one of the forum members who helped me to get a feel what was this community about.
He sent me once a knife, that I found interesting, to check it out and return it.
I liked it so much that I bought the cheaper version made by CRKT to use it in my work chorus,
couldn’t find the real deal, didn’t have the funds for it anyway so I went for the CRKT.
Still have it and still use it.
It was the folding Razel by J. Graham. Not a cup of tea for everyone but hey, that’s why we are all different
I’m sad to see such a names of the knife Industry passing away.

Just sharpened a CRKT Razel for an old boy at last weekend’s swap meet. He’d obviously had it for a while, used it hard and still going strong. Removed the nicks with the Tormek 220 stone, refined it on a 1000 waterstone, and finished with a fine ceramic rod.

Very sorry to hear this. Jon was an amazing bladesmith, whose fixed blades have always drawn my attention. The first "custom" knife I ever ordered was from Jon. An orange wharnecliffe fixed blade, shown below with another of his knives. RIP Jon. You will be missed.

Amazing knives Ellis Wyatt Ellis Wyatt !
I also like a lot the fix Mr WValtakis WValtakis is showing. Being huge tanto fan and user, I can see the benefits of such working blade. I like my cheap CRKT Razels too, cheap steel but useful geometry.

I met Jon & his brother at their 1st BLADE show. Buddy & I both bought knives from them. As he only lived a bit North of me, I attended a couple knife gatherings he had at his shop. Hadn't seen him in a while till last year at BLADE. We talked for a bit, but my friend had his 2 kids, so I wasn't able to talk long. Till we form again
