I like to post photos from this event every year for all to enjoy. Unfortunately, I was dealing with two sets of almost dead batteries (need the quantity to find the quality), which also made the autofocus go all wonky, so here's the good photos I could salvage. Enjoy!

F/A-18F flying slow at high angle of attack (this thing had some pretty awesome compression cones going when it did a transsonic run, but there was no way I was able to catch those)

And, of course, the Thunderbirds

Most of those aircraft flew over my house on the way out to you:thumbup: I'm near Red Bank NJ, and they must have all staged down in the Pinelands, or so it seems. Really nice to sit out on the side yard and watch those birds flying over. Gives one a sense of pride in one's military:thumbup: My uncle is a highly decorated US Army Air Corps Veteran and I worship the ground that Man walks on I tell you:thumbup: He's the humblest' Man I've ever met for what he went through...

Millville, NJ also has a great US Army Air Corps Museum and Airfield. They have a yearly show not to be missed!

1Tracker,

Most of the planes are staged during the show at the American Airpower Museum in Republic Airport in Farmingdale on Long Island. Certain ones that are too hush-hush or too big (i.e., the F-22 last year and the B-1B the year before) are staged elsewhere. It's fun to go to the museum during the show. I did it last year. As the Skytypers were coming back from the beach, they popped smoke and started circling the airport in their Texans, while the Warbird contigent (last year I believe they included a B-17, B-24, B-25, C-47, TB Avenger, P-51, P-47, and P-40) fired up their engines and took off. It was like something out of WWII. The F-22 buzzed the airport a couple of times, too.

You are correct, though some of those birds flew over there from here cause I seen 'em wit my own eyes! There may have been some refueling stops down at Fort Dix or nearby. Never did the JB show due to traffic rdtrip from here. Madhouse once you get there, etc. Have enjoyed airshows most of my life, and it would be nice to meetup at one in the future eh?! And Ted's hair is so 80's!! But I dig his 'Ro!

Awesome pics.
Thanks.

Btw/ What kind of camera did you use ? :)

It's quite likely that some flew over to Jersey. I'm sure they try to get as much bang for the buck, hitting as many places as possible on Memorial Day weekend. The Thunderbirds were seposedly using two C-130s as tenders instead of the usual C-17. I guy I know who works by the airport swears he saw a C-17 come in the Tuesday before the show. That evening at late dusk, I heard some gigundo jet fly overhead, not the usual commercial sound - alot louder. I ran out and saw something huge (it was pretty dark out) heading in the direction of Jersey and it didn't have standard commercial lights. could've been that C-17.

Doug, I used a Canon S5IS. Nothing special. I'm not that great when it comes to cameras. Next year I have to set the thing up to take a bunch of photos at once. I keep forgetting to do that.
