I get to see the Yankee Lady quite a bit. She fly's out of Willow Run Airport. Home to the Yankee Air Force and Museum. About 20 miles from my house.

The other stuff I don't get to see as often. Love the C-47. I timeless design.

The Skytypers, American Airpower Museum warbirds, the Warbirds over Long Island, and the 105th ANG are all local. We also have the Cradle of Aviation Museum (nothing airworthy, though). Long Island must've been something during it's Defense Department heyday, with Grumman and Republic churning out planes like they were going out of style.

C-47 - That was "Puff the Magic Dragon" for us in Vietnam
A-10 Warthog - Well that just makes tankers nervous. :eek:
