As a knife maker and a Marine I have taken it upon myself to make a bitchin combat knife for my upcoming deployment. Here she is in all her beastly glory! I am not a sheathmaker by any means but I do like the system I came up with. it is a riveted leather sheath (I forge I don't sew) with a kydex retention bar to allow for secure carry with a fast draw.
9 inches of hardened 5160 on the business end with 5 inches of head smashing bronze and spalted koa for the handle.
And while I am starting a new thread I will just lump these guys in here as well...
N680 kitchen utility knife with a redwood burl handle.
Next to my war knife... Its not small my war knife is just that big.
This last knife I made for my older brothers wedding, which I will be missing. It was a fun project, the hamon on the blade and coloring of the wood complement and echo eachother. It's made from water quenched 1080 and african blackwood spacer with Tasmanian curly eucalyptus
Group shot just for fun...
Thanks for checking out my work!
