Howdy folks! Well, I know about his Spyderco knife, but I'm thinking about placing an order for one of his custom folders. Can anyone share some experiences with his work with me? How's the Fit & Finish? Durability as an EDC item (Mine would be simplified for EDC purposes)? Linerlock or Buttonlock? Any information you can give would be very welcome!!!

Thanks!!

His work is exceptionally beautiful. Usually incorporates precious metals and stone handles with engraving and filework. They are often high dollar 2K and up. Not what I'd call EDC unless you're wealthy. I'd hate to find out what happens to gold and stone if dropped 4 feet onto concrete. What I've seen have been linerlocks. Fit and finish top notch.

His fit and finish are amazing to behold,as well as materials choice.
I've just viewed his amazing folders here an at his site and don't own one but I do have a subhilt fighter by him that is very nice.
The hardware isn't gold and stone but the handle is some very nice walnut.
Fit and finish,incredibly nice.

Jot is a stand-up guy with 25+ years experience at the highest levels of knives in all forms. I am certain you and he can make a selection that will suit you perfectly. Yup, most of his knives are fancy, but he can do whatever.

You are relatively close to him in area. Have you spent time in his shop? I'd highly recommend a visit. You will be enriched.

Howdy Coop! Thanks all for the responses so far. I haven't been to his shop yet. I wasn't sure if I should make the trip over there or not- not wanting to disturb the man. I'm hoping we can come to something. Looks like we just might be able to!!

He does great work with precious and semi precious stones.Makes his own damascus and engraving,as well as using others.Check out his web site.
