I have been wanting some of these sheaths since Bud started making them. I have two of the small ones for my BC Jr and my Hiking Buddy, but now I need two more, and a larger one for my KEB. Bud said these would fit the Hiking Buddy and Bushboot, which they do very nicely.

They also work perfectly for my BC Jr, and the Osprey Warthog EDC :)

I'm a big fan of these sheaths as well. I have a small one which carries my BC Jr and a slightly larger one which fits my BC, Arete and KEB although the KEB is just a tad wiggly. I'd really like one that fits my Terrasaurs but they are a tad too big for the larger of the 2 that I have. However, there's always another Tuesday. :D

Looking good Brian!

Those are awesome Mist!

I think so too!

I think the big problem with the the KEB is the taper of the handle and absence of a guard which makes it difficult to lock in. On my KEB I think another like grown one but just a half inch or so deeper and just a bit tighter would be great. It doesn't wiggle around in the brown one, and I have actually been carrying it that way some but it does pull out of it a little bit easier than I would like, and I think the same pattern but deeper would solve the vast majority of the problem for me, and a hair tighter would be ideal.

Thanks Bud! These sheaths are awesome!

Those look great!! What are you carrying in the pouch?

Not much yet. These pouches are a bit deeper than I am used to so I am building a couple of kits out of eye glass repair kit containers. I am thinking two will fit in each pouch, so tinder tinder/accelerant in one and contingency items in the other...I'm still in the study and design phase so far :)

I totally agree. That would be perfect for the KEB. I think for the Terrasaur it would need to be a touch narrower as well as a touch deeper. As far as the knives that Bud recommends for these sheaths they are top notch. I've also been messing around with what to put in the pouch. A DC4 and one of Swonuts strikers fit quite well. I like the idea of a tinder kit though.

I put my DC4 sharpener in mine. It fits perfectly with enough clearance to pull it out easily. I also like the way it hangs at the waist not too high or too low and close in so it doesn't feel like your knife is flopping around. Bud's like Andy, a true craftsman that puts alot of time and thought into all the nuances.

Definitely a lot of talent gathered here in this little corner of the world.

I am really looking forward to setting up the one for the KEB.

I have a KEB incoming and definitley want one of those sheaths for it. I'm thinking a sharpening stone for the pouch. Anyone using it for that and if so, what stone fits best? Also will want a firestarter, so same question - which one fits best?

Thanks all!

Several have mentioned the Fallkniven DC4 stone fits perfectly. Having had a couple I could definitely see that. I intend to use a small diameter ceramic rod I have in mine as well as some emery cloth, so that I will have room for a couple of tubes of contingency items. As for ferro rods the loop seems to be designed to fit any standard ferro rod up to 3/8 inch diameter. I have custom ones made by Blaine (Swonut) in mine, but the LMF and Exotac fireRODs also fit just fine.

Thank you, sir!
