just cracked the box open of my Journeyman. It took Emerson 1 day to address my issues (noob emerson user related) blade centering, sticky lock, verrry loose pivot screw, and 5 long days for UPS to get it here. Gotta give it to Emerson for prompt service. However my knife came back minus its pocket clip and screws. Emerson offered to send me an upgraded clip w/ the skull logo for the inconvenience. The blade was perfectly centered and a boatload smoother than when I sent it out. I soon found out why the blade was so smooth the pivot screw was backed way out and there was a LOT of lateral blade play. Tightened it back up and reduced the play but its back to the normal sticky opening and closing. I can live with that. When I was checking for blade play I noticed the blade flexing as I moved it side to side. Does that sound right?

did the bullet thumb disc mod on this 1. How ya like that?

Tighten the pivot a bit more to get rid of all play. The stickiness will work itself out, or you can use the pencil trick (take a pencil and mark the bottom of the lockface) to help you out in the mean time.

"Stickiness" will go away with use - set the pivot so there is no play and just use it. The washers are self lubricating and will smooth out nicely.
