Hey Raj,
Here is the Tiger Maple Bowie we talked about. It will be one of my entries for journeyman at the Blade Show. IT has a 9 1/2" 1084 blade and nickel silver fittings and buttcap.
I'll talk to you next week.
God bless you and your family!

Sorry, I'm trying. My picture is too big and I'm having to downsize. It hasn't been working. Here we go again. Here's the picture.

Well, that was worth the wait. That is one heck of a good looking Bowie. That blade profile is one of my favorites.

Thats not a bad knife. Its good to have a show knife like that in your stash. But i like to be able to use my knives. Thats why I dont make collector pieces unless requested.

as long as he has a good heat treat on it,t hat could make a great user. Users are allowed to look good, don't have to be ugly and have synthetic handle materials.

What makes you think this knife can't be used?

I, for one, think it's much more than "not bad." I think it's absolutely gorgeous. And if Mr. Perry is submitting this knife for his Journeyman test, you can bet it was built for exceptional performance.

Hey John, Brion here just could not resist the filework could you. I guess when I see you in Tulsa or Mesquite I will be talking to a JS. You will have no problem. Enjoy yourself

That's a really nice looking knife. I hope it treats you well in Atlanta!

CriswellJr.,

Welcome to the forums. If your knife comes from a reputable maker, the show pieces will cut just like the plain jane working models. Sure, you may not want to marr a hand rubbed satin finish bowie with nice wood but, that doesn't prevent it from cutting good! ;)
