I have just completed the 5 knives required for my journeyman smith stamp. Since this is my first for posting a subject, I am not sure if I can put the blue writing on it for the url that the knives are on. If not, then maybe some one with the knowldge would be kind enough to do that. The knives are all fairly simple and will be judged on fit, finish, and Eye appeal. I would appreciate any remarks from viewers that may help me improve. Thanks. The site is http://www.tah-usa.net/raker/page4.html.

Very nice work, Ray. But then, sitting here wearing your "Old Bone" NK, I'm not surprised at all.

Very nice knives, especially the small Bowie! Is that also 52100?

It's only a mistake if you fail to learn from it!

All the knives are differential heat treated 52100 and have nickel silver mountings, pins, and cocobolo handles. I thought that since I was making a "set" that they should be different only in style and size. Besides, I had bought a large piece of cocobolo about 3 years ago and it had been in the closet since. When I started on them, it jumped up and down trying to get out so it could go somewhere. I thought, why not.

Wow Ray, those are some very nice looking knives. I only have one of your knives, but I like it very much. I sure would like to fit that Drop Point Hunter into my future

Good luck with your judging. I will be judging the Masters so I will be in the room. I will slide over and take a peek at'em.

Looking good. Can't wait to see them...errr you, yea that's it, you at the Blade show.
What is your table #?

Ray,

Nice looking knives!! I wish you the best in Atlanta...I have no doubt whatsoeve that you will get your stamp.
BTW, my "Lil Rank" is one of my best forged knives, in both overall workmanship & USING!
I'll let you know how I like the Damascus "Lil Rank" when I get it. Take care!

I will have a half table at 24-O. I think it is next to the last row and looking toward the back.
I will try a shot of all the knives together in one pic. I may have to add another page to the site for a few days. My provider may not even know its there for a few days.

Ray,

Looks like I'm a little late to the dance, but then I've seen these knives already.

I'll be there to cheer you on and congratulate you when you earn your JS stamp.

All the best,

Blues
