HI everyone!:D
Here is the Bowie I promised. It was one of my JS knives. It's about 19 1/4" OAL with a 13 1/4" blade forged from O-1 round bar. It's a pretty loose interpretation of a Mediterranean, but retains that same look.
The handle is hot blued miled steel with blacklip inlays. The inlays are dovetailedd in a lock up on a taper, requiring no glues. It is designed as a takedown and can be completely disassembled. The little spacer that provides the transition from blade to handle is nickel silver that I 24ct gold plated.
I hope you like it.

Hey JP,

The specs sound great but the attached photo is howing up real tiny - I can hardly make out the details, which I'm sure are very much worth seeing. if you e-mail me the full size image I can host and post a larger pic for you.

Cheers,

Roger

That is very small. If you want to email me a bigger copy, I can put it on one of my sites.

Hey JP,

I was the French guy at your table.

Guys, this knife was amazing. i was very impressed with both the quality of F&F and with the design - balanced, elegant, and different. Unique piece there.

Yeah, but it's so small.

But I agree - we need a bigger pic.

This is an awesome knife. (Keith, it is big too :)).
Congratulations JP. Some beautiful work you had at the show.

Johns skill is absolutely amazing. He can machine things to a level of fit and finish that seems impossible. John and his wife are wonderful people.

That was certainly an awesome knife. I really didn't feel worthy to pick it up. The mechanism on John's little auto was also very, very cool. Good stuff for sure.

I saw that knife, but was too intimidated to try to pick it up. I did, however, bow to the maker in my unworthyness. ;) That knife was awesome!

Perry's fit and finish are in line with Massey, Newton, and Walker.

I loved the knife! More than all that though, he and Cari are GREAT people.

I have to agree that this Bowie was amazing,The quality of workmanship is master for sure.It definately put my DogBone Bowie to shame.
Congrats on recieving your JS Stamp John.Wish we could have gotten to talk more.
