The blades are JR's transition damascus and he also did the engraving and carving. Beautiful knives, well executed and infused with authenticity. The handles are fossil walrus ivory. The larger of the two with the carved handle is one of a kind and the other is JR's Hidalgo bowie.

JR needed images that could be incorporated into materials promoting his upcoming sojourn in South America.

Buddy,

Those are great photos.

JR had the second knife, the Bowie at Jerry Fisk's Microshow last week, as good as it looks in your photos, it is better in person. It is indeed a beautiful one of a kind Bowie.

Great googely, moogely: those are gorgeous. ( with apologies to Howlin' Wolf)

Beautifully captured images. I love both knives and the ivory is stunning. The carving puts the second one over the top. I will, if somebody doesn't beat me to it, nominate it in the best bowie thread. Thanks for sharing your images and J.R.'s knives.

Chris

JR is certainly having fun with the transition damascus that he first presented at the CKCC 2013 banquet. Wonderful knives JR and nice image Buddy. The carved decor of the fluted handled piece is just exquisite. Glad to see these in images at least. In person I'm sure they are a pleasure to hold.

Finally some knives I can get excited about!! That second one with the fluted handle is super cool. Great photos Buddy.
