Has anyone here seen this yet? They look pretty good for the cost.

I am not a big fan of the light brown but they could be dyed.

I do wonder how they'd dye. I have a JRE pouch sheath (same leather) on another knife, and I've been thinking about dying it.

JRE can make the sheath in other colors. their dark brown is nice, but black would Suit the BK better.

I'm sure it would dye well, especially since it looks like the edges aren't finished. :-/
you could dye it, burnish all the exposed edges, and you'd be good to go.
The stitching looks good. Are there 3 layers of leather at the edge seam, or just two? Two will risk cutting the threads by the knife.

That is a good looking sheath, and I am sure they will make them in whatever color you want. The BK2 is a little overly large for horizontal carry at least anywhere other than small of back IMHO, but it would be nice to have the option.

I love those sheaths, but I agree with ya'll, that "Yellowish" color turns me off:foot:

Give me a good dark burgundy, or green, and I'm a happy Moose.

If that lead time is right, man, they must be making these things like crazy.

It is much too bright for my tastes. A little darker and it would be a great looking sheath.

They do or at least did make sheaths for Blind Horse Knives. Very good leather.

Yeah no kidding. I believe they machine stitch all their sheaths so I would assume that the actual assembly of each sheath would go pretty fast.

I had one made for a North Star and it was four months before I got it. They said they didn't realize I was in a hurry. Spen and Dan used to make the sheaths for Bark River Knives and their work is top notch, but I don't think they could keep up with production. They're just good 'ol boys that do a lot of different things and don't get in a big hurry about it.
