JRE Sheaths

I am considering picking up a sheath or two for my Moras and was wondering what the general opinion is of the JRE sheaths as sold on Ben's Backwoods? Quality and fit specifically.

I am not sure about fitting the Moras to the JRE sheaths at Bens, however the JRE sheath that came with my BHK Bushcrafter is TOP NOTCH. I am amazed at what a nice sheath JRE produced.

They're pretty simple sheaths. The quality on all of mine has always been as high as any. Great stitching, even lines, good fit, etc. I haven't used the ones for the mora's, but I wouldn't hesitate to get one. The only problem is that, for some blades, they aren't deep enough. But that's not the norm, just a 'sometimes'.

Ben takes care of his people. Period.

JRE makes great 'clicked out' style sheaths. I think for the money, you can't do any better. Same for Sharp Shooter. Great sheaths for the money.

I had a JRE for my Koster and flat out loved it. In fact, look at my current bushcrafter style sheath - look familar? ;)

I have the JRE Mora 760+ sheath that Ben's sells. I bought it to use for another knife but it fits the Mora well, though the handle does stick out a bit further than I prefer (but that's personal taste). I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

JRE Sheaths are top notch and fit perfect. I wouldn't hesitate.

I'm not a big fan of Sharp Shooter sheaths. The ones I have had were made of very thin leather and stretched out quite a bit after use. Just my opinion from what i've had.

Ben's Backwwods is a great store and customer service is +1.

I agree 100% with everything you've said there.

JRE makes a great sheath. They are very stout and tough. I prefer them to Sharpshooter sheaths also.

SS isn't even in the same league as JRE.

JRE makes high quality, perfect fitting, heavy duty sheaths. You can't go wrong with them. Dan and Spen are great guys too!
I'm fortunate to be a short drive from their shop to drop off knives for sheaths. A+ Operation at that shop.

JRE are masters at sheath making, and also at not draining your pocket. Some of the stuff they have came up with has BLOWN MY MIND! Take that little snap system from BHK for instance.

Don't forget they work with all colors under the sun, and even have a sexy alligator skin style sheath that feels as good as it looks, and doesn't kill any gators!

I recently bought a JRE model from Ben's for my M571. It works great for the M571 or the Mora 510. Very well made!

I already had a JRE Gundy sheath for my F1. Great construction and fit.
No complaints.

I plan to buy more JRE sheaths for some other pieces I own. I'm leaning hard towards one of his Cricket models. Anybody tried one yet?

Hey Brother thanks for the post and the pic!!! That has to be one of the most cleaver small knife and sheath set-ups I've ever seen:thumbup:;). One heck of an idea there.

Thanks!!!

JRE makes nice sheaths, all of the sheaths I have from them are holding up quite well. I have to disagree with the negative comments in this thread about Sharpshooter. I am very happy with all of my Sharpshooter sheaths. In fact, I was just handling the sheath for my Bravo-1 and remarking on how nicely made it was. For high volume sheathmakers, JRE and Sharpshooter are as good as it gets.
