Hi everyone!

I finally finished the D-guard Bowie.

It has a 12" 5160 blade, German Silver fittings, African Blackwood handle and an overall length of 16 3/4" long. This is the second D-guard Bowie I've made. I will be using it for one of my JS Test knives at the Blade Show coming up.

The next one will be a W-2 Clay hardened re-curve; with a 10" blade and a handle of Missouri, Black Walnut. (and Stainless Steel fittings)

Thanks for looking!

Tell me what you think.

I've really enjoyed watching this series of knives develop. Excellent job on that D guard bowie! Is that a convexed edge?

Looks wonderful.

It's a flat grind with a slight convex near the edge.

Thanks for the complements guys!

Wow. Its really stunning. Not a big Bowie fan, but that is gorgeous!

That is clean, simple and elegant, ready for a black tie event! I LIKE it.

Excellent. I know how hard these can be.

very nice. That long clip/swedgeie grind must have taken some steady hands to do. Looks very balanced. Some times with D guards either the blade or the guard can seem out of proportion. This one looks perfectly matched.

Nice Nice nice Were the first thoughts.
Upon reflection...Nice Nice Nice The German silver and Black just fits:D
