JSP Chequebook and knife-- WOW!

I just took delivery of the JSP CKD Alpha chequebook and double edge blade. I got the stingray wallet. WOW!
The chequebook itself is absolutely gorgeous! Even without the blade, it is as beautiful and functional a wallet as I have seen. The blade itself is incredibly sharp and beautifully designed for its purpose. The top edge is far enough forward to allow a very secure grip
I was thinking of using this as my chequebook but it's so amazing I'm thinking of using it for my wallet, although I'd better remember to remove the blade when I fly. Here's a link which shows it well http://www.bladerigger.com/home.html [look for the link to the SCP Alpha]
The cordura version alsso looks pretty great at a significantly lower price.

Although I will now remove the blade before flying, the only airport that ever found mine was in Atlanta. I always just dropped it in the change tray when I walked through the metal detector and had it handed back to me on the far side. In Atlanta they X-Rayed the change cup. Took the rent-a-cop about 3 minutes to find it, and that's with the X-Ray image sitting on the screen.

Fortunately, they let me walk it back to the ticket counter to check the blade through. I doubt that would happen now.
 
Brian, that's amazing. I'm afraid I'd get so used to having the blade in that I'd forget. And why not? It should be perfectly natural to have it handy. But nowadays...
Still, an extraordinary piece.
What steel is the blade?
