JSP Sticksling

I just received a Sticksling. What size(diameter and length) sticks can put in th sling. I tried a 28" X 1" stick and only about half of the stick fit in the sling.

I do not know the maximum diameter stick that will fit, but I do know it is designed to grab the end of the stick, try giving it a little push when it reaches the limit of its' travel.
