I would just like to give a shout out to JT and Heather for their awesome service, all the way through.
Not only did he help turn my drawing into a CAD file, tweak it a bit, then cut a number of them out.
He then went on to HT them to specs, drill holes and surface ground them (smooth!)
The packaging is so neat that I almost hate to undo the work. ;-)
All this in a very timely manor.
He even sent texted pictures of the process!
Thank you Jarod and Heather!!!
Awesome.

JT is great, always been very happy with his HT work and turnaround time.

How long did it take for you to get your blanks? I’m about to put an order in for plasma cutting and HT’ing. I’m just curious but don’t want to bother him by asking, I know how busy they are.

Hi ren.

Everything included. That is work with me on my design (from my crappy drawing), send pics, etc., back and forth, finalize and order materials. I wanted a specific metal and thickness that had to be ordered, which JT took care of from his trusted and reasonable source.
Then after I signed off (probably a week+ on my end) on it I was put into line with the existing orders he had.
Further contact about this and that.
Around 30 days. Awesome!, considering everything custom tailored for me.
Now I can hit a button and get more...
As for how busy they are? I hope very.
I am fairly sure that you asking for an update will not be a headache.

 thanks for the response, that’s not bad at all especially for having to order the steel and stuff. Waiting is always the hardest part for me haha, I just get too excited to get them back and finish them up.

Thank you for the kind words. We do strive to provide a high quality product that is held to the standards that custom knife makers demand. Our average turn around time is 2 weeks on heat treating and 4 weeks for custom blanks. It can be longer if we need to bring in material but AKS gets steel to us really fast. Also if you provide us just a sketch and not a dxf it can be longer as we do get backed up on the computer side. Drawing is done at night when I’m in relax mode lol. We try and keep material in stock but this can change in the blink of an eye with one order.

Again thank you for the kind words.

I am giving another shout out to JT. Sent him four blades in CPM154 a few weeks ago. they came back within two weeks, dead flat, and as always carefully wrapped and nicely surface ground. they are just sitting there yelling at me to start grinding bevels on them :-)

Thank you as always JT!
