I want to display this handmade pocket knife made in the little village called Taramundi (north of spain)

This piece its made whith carbon steel forged like 300 years ago. The handles are blond horn whith incrustations of autentic silver and black amber, The principal cilinder is silver . Of course all its hand made by CQ.

The blade is an autentic razor. Every single piece has got an ancient soul culture.

I hope that you like it

This is the ancient forged process in a "fragua" The water of a little river is the energy to work the mill.

It's beautiful and a special piece. I'm jealous! Can you see any grain structure in that old steel?

Agree with all the above. Fascinating!
For general on-line knife world consumption it would be best to shorten each segment. BTW, I don't speak the language - which makes the video that much more appealing, IMHO, to a broad audience.
The one thing that would hold back a great story video like this is the remarkable absence of eye protection. It's like filming rock climbers who forego helmets and protection. Doesn't go down well in many parts of the world. Otherwise, Wow! Thanks for sharing both the knife and the video.

There are excursions to bring the traditional craft to new generations and not lose your knowledge
Taramundi The council is a small municipality in northern Spain
There are several videos of the manufacture of these blades (like razors) without lock but the new generations with lock

Friction.
Only the artisan adjust hold blade
In very dry weathers sometimes you have to adjust because it loosens.

Sorry for my english

Thanks a lot for your responses.
I am very proud because Taramundi are in my province (Asturias) and can see that this small jewells are apreciate for your trained eyes.

- Scott: yes i can apreciate paralel grain across the blade, very refine.

-HTMN. Well, for sure you are right. The first video are captured for secondary school children. They and the master craftsman must be using some protection but...... Spain its diferent. Seriusly you are right. I dont sell this pocket knifes and dont think that the author of mine are interesting on sell on -ine around the world. The video was talking on spanish and my intention was to show the ancient culture from my countrie only.

-Messer...... Tu eres español jajaja. Pedro Bermudez is another taramundi master, togheter whith Carlos Quintana, i think that they are the most refinated craftsman from taramundi. Only this masters make customs knifes like mine.

If anyone is interesting on this knifes send me a pm and i´ll answer gladly all your questions.

"Different" looking knife for sure.

But it looks very well made, and has this "old school" feel to it.

I like it!

Kind regards,

Jos
