I just wanted to start a thread saying how awesome I think Judy is for taking her time and getting Dave back on line and helping improve his quality of life. YOUR A-OK IN MY BOOK :thumbup: :thumbup:

You are too kind (blush). I'm just doing what any one of you would do if you lived as close to Dave as I do. Okay, it's not close, but at least I can drive it in 3-1/2 hours one way.

And I'm a sucker for rodents. Usually I just set a big snap trap for them, but in VG's case, he's a stationary target and he can't scamper away as fast as he used to!

I will continue on my quest to improve Dave's life. He is helping by doing what he can. You would all be proud of the progress he is making.

Gus, I agree with you thoroughly, but her efforts simply cry out for recognition.

She may be uncomfortable with the attention and our statements of appreciation, but it is fully deserved.

I tried to put my appreciation into words in an email to her yesterday and hope and trust that she will not be offended by my quoting a portion of that email here:

"It will probably never be possible for the group (and myself personally) to fully convey to you the gratitude and appreciation you deserve for your kind and generous efforts in recognizing the need, conceiving the workable plan, initiating and stimulating the group to action and then assuming the active control and execution of the stabilization and improvement of Dave's, semi-perceived but previously unaddressed, desperately bleak situation.

You may never receive proper recognition from the Nobel committee, but please be assured that you have my respect and full recognition for your efforts and accomplishment."


What seems most really outstanding to me is that she so quickly and decisively took action to make it happen in such an aggressively pro-active manner.

Quite a lady, indeed!

Sadly, I don't often see folks doing the right thing just because it is right.
