Hey guys, I'm looking for a light weight multi tool for EDC. I won't be doing anything heavy duty, and I'm fine with non locking tools. I've kind of narrowed it down to either the Juice S-2, or the PST. Both can be had for a similar price. I like that some of the tools on the Juice are on the outside, but I also really like the classic, simple design of the PST. Does anyone with experience with both tools have any thoughts of which would make a better general purpose, light duty EDC? Thanks.

Hey Carl. There were a few things that swayed my decision. First let me say that EDC multi tool was probably not the right term to use. It's going to be something that I'll wear on the weekends when I'm working around the house and such. Since I won't be carrying it to work, size isn't too much of an issue. That being said, I think I'll like the full size handles. The biggest advantage to the Juice was having the knife blade on the outside, making it easier to get to. This becomes a moot point since I will likely still have a Case peanut or Schrade stockman in my pocket with is easier to get to than either of the multi tools blades. I also like the longer screw driver bits on the PST. Lastly, I would be lying if I didn't admit that the classic, simple design and looks of the PST appeal to me more than those of the Juice.

The PST is the one that started it all, and still pack a lot of utility. But its pretty hard on the hand when squeezing the pliers, because they had not quite figured out ergonomics back then.
