Hi,

A nice piece! I like it.

For those of us on the "other side of the pond", silver steel is a commonly used term for what we would call drill rod. Most often either W-2 or O-1 steel.

Brisa sells blades marked as Silver Steel
I wondered what it was

Thanks!!

I read that silversteel is no other than Böhler k510. According to Joonas Kallioniemi, the composition is as follows: C 1.18% Si 0.25% Mn 0.30% Cr 0.70% V 0.10%.
