Just another day here. Got up at 2:30 this morning, Connie left for work at 3:30, then I went to the shop. Trying to keep my one older dog calm while assholes shoot off fireworks. Going to be a fun night, got to be up at 2:30 again tomorrow. This is probably my least favorite holiday.

I can relate, my dog does not like the noise either (14yrs old). Thunderstorms are even worse. Gave her a Benadryl yesterday to calm her down a little.
Also why is it that they wait until midnight to start lighting fireworks. {Rant over}

Happy late 4th guys!
Its been an eventful weekend. We went and seen the fireworks show Sunday night over the Mississippi River. They always seem to try and out do themselves every year and this year was no exception. The final 'hoo-ra' of fireworks was almost a constant explosion there were so many going off at once.
Yesterday, we just hung out by the pool and cooked burgers and hot dogs. We tried to light our own fireworks at night, but the mosquitos are so bad in our woods they drove us back inside within 30 minutes. Its hard to enjoy time outside when your dancing around slapping yourself the whole time!

Ain't that the truth! Here's a dog that doesn't like most people...our LPD K9 Santos or, as I call him...Mr. Lawpaws. I recently had the chance to do four hours of building search and bite training with him. His skills are incredible. I brought him a pig ear which he enjoyed at home later.
