Well, I'm getting over the bug and I am slowing getting back to work. The good thing is that the S-30V blades for the Brend/Branton boot knife are being cut by water jet and I should get them back early next week. I will perform a few minor operations on them then off to Paul bos for heat treat and then off to Dennis Rochkes, the grinder to work his magic. From there they will come back to me for handles and them off to Body Cote for the new diamond coating. They will then come back to me for the handle installation and then to Survival Sheath Systems for sheaths and finally off to Walter for sharpening. Seems like a long time doesn't it????
Hopefully they will be ready for delivery by early mid September.
The Merrills Marauders and the new Brend guardless model # 2' are on their way to Heat treat then grinder before making their way back to me. I am trying to have the handles done on a CNC machine because they are very labor intensive to do by hand. Once this is resolved we will be in full production mode. All of my custom stuff has been slowed down quite a bit due to my illness and should get back on schedule soon.

Thank you for your patience

Bobby

Bobby, do you have any pictures or info on the new Bodycote Diamond coating? Does is look like Boron Carbide or is it different altogether?

Hey Bobby,

I bet the shipping and handling kills you:) Is Mr. Rochkes a knifemaker our does he just grind? Do you have to cut s30v with a waterjet, i heard some of the exotic steels were getting harder to cut by laser? I hope you get over your illness and get back in the shop soon.

Keep It Sharp,
