I did a brief search and it turns out most jumbo jacks are posted in the old knives. Definitely would like to see more examples of jumbo jacks or larger jacks. To start it off, I'll share this one.

What's the minimum size to be "jumbo"?

I think this old boy qualifies at 4 inches closed:

sounds about right! i was hoping others would weigh in as I only have one other knife that is officially classified as a jumbo jack and its a schatt and morgan in stag that I'll have to get a picture of.

If I remember right Levine has them starting at 3 7/8" to 4 1/4" but its not just the length, it's also the girth or width, generally just a massive feeling jack.
Soooo ... just a normal "medium" or "large" (note quotes) jack knife?
At 4 1/8 inch closed a "full size" trapper or moose qualifies? And a RR "Half Hawk" at around 4 inches closed?
Cool! I didn't think I had a Jumbo Jack. Now I have at least three (not counting duplicate Trappers) :)

A couple question for the experts:

1} I've never been a big "fan" of the trapper pattern. Why do I have 3 or 4 of them?

2} How did I get so many of them?!?
I don't recall buying that many ...

3} What knives when left unattended mate and have Trapper offspring? (I need to separate them.)

The Jumbo is a scarce hard to find pattern, in 5 years I've found 4 or 5 of them. Generally they are wood handled 2 blade spear point Jacks although I have seen at least one in bone. I have found 1 Catt that is a single blade spear.

2 Cattaraugus, 2 blade and single,

Winchester shown with a large 3 3/4" Challenge jack for comparison, the Challenge is not a Jumbo,

A Walden, my favorite,

At 3 3/4 inches closed this doesn't really qualify if the size limit is 4 inches but It is described by it's name "Jumbo Jack" (Cripple Creek Jumbo Jack CCK73BO). Manufactured by GEC on the #73 frame. I believe SMKW originally sold these. Very substantial and robust knife. Not bad to look at either.

r8shell r8shell - LVG4 starts them out at 3 5/8" to 3 7/8" but says they can go much larger. Here's a 3 3/4" Case 6231 !/2 capped, swell end, jack much like the one @waynorth is bring out. I have a couple Jumbo Jacks in the 4" to 4 1/8" range but no ready pictures of them.

Perhaps that is the likely explanation of the dearth of their appearance in general threads, but mostly found in the old knives thread, one I rarely peruse :D
