Here is one I just picked up from Ray. It is HUGE to say the least. 5 1/8" closed, a whopping 8 7/8" open. To quote a well known member of the traditional forum here...it's sort of a "folding butcher knife":D I've been waiting for this one a long time. It is one of only 5 that Ray has ever made. Of course it features Ray's well known fabulous fit and finish:thumbup:

That is nice, very nice. It even looks huge in the picture!

Btw, will it be a user, and if so, how will you carry it?

Takes 2 hands, to handle the whopper ....

Nice BIG one Durwood,

Impressive. I was going to say the nail nicks look small but it's probably because the knife is huge.

Wow, that is very nice. So now, who are you going to have make you a sheath so you can carry this big boy??
Great catch, and just in time for Christmas!! ;)

Thanks for the nice comments guys...this is one is going in the China Cabinet for a display knife...No joke. I waited nearly 3 years for this one...it's a long story, but after Ray made the first two he decided they were too big. Then one of the owners of the first two sold his and then regretted it... so he begged Ray to make another one and when Ray agreed...I said make me one one too so Ray made three more and mine came last. It was worth the wait :D

Yeah,and here I was,a while ago,I had a 4-1/4" trapper from Ray & thought it was the biggest he made,little did I know,there were 2 more larger sizes !!

That sucker is so large, I would have to take out one of my glass shelves so it would sit up rather than having to be on its side. Good Score Darwin, I am jealous.:thumbup:
