After hunting around this site for awhile I finally decided to pull the plug and buy a 1630 Cyclone. Man am I impressed, it is absolutely flawless. Thanks to Kershaw and the people on this site for steering me in the right direction.

Welcome to BladeForums, and to the Kershaw forums! You made a VERY GOOD choice in the knife you bought. The Cyclone is by far, my favorite folder...Ever... I've owned folders that cost two, even three times what the Cyclone sells for and none of 'em were 1/2 the knife that the Cyclone is.

I have the mini zdp cyclone just back for a regrind from Tom Krein and all I can say is..WOW ! Before the regrind I alternated it with my other folders and now, I can't leave alone!!I just want to grind the clip a little narrower as I think it is too wide and shows too much.

Welcome to our nightmare, treed. As you will soon see, one Kershaw is great, especially the Cyclone. But now, you've got to get the Mini Cyclone both in the Ti/ZDP and standard, then it's on to Leeks, Grooves, Blurs, and on and on. And don't forget about the Damascus steels now available, and then there's the boutique runs....

Welcome, but be aware: You've just entered The Kershaw Zone!

What did it cost for the re-grind?

I've got a few Leeks and a JYD II. I ordered a mini cyclone last week and can't wait to get it! If even half of the stories I read about on here are true then it should be a great knife!
