Anyone happen to have both of these knives? I was looking for a side by side comparison pic. Thank you in advance.

J.

The Jumpmaster is one I have always been interested in, but already own several H1 and really don't have a need. I do own several Aqua Salts and use often.... That SE is easy to sharpen, and a killer belt knife if you spend any time on the water....

Dtoad,

Thank you for the reply. I do spend a good amount of time out on the water fishing and was looking for a fixed blade I could clip on and not worry about if I end up wading or fishing in the rain. I've read great things about serrated H1 and narrowed it down to these two blades. Decisions, decisions... :)

I liked my Aqua so much I had to get a Jumpmaster, just because.
Didn't disappoint, at all. It's an even more terrific cutter and thinner in the hand (so, also slimmer profile when carrying).
A box cutter on steroids.

Certainly lacking a tip, or a pointy stabby section, but then again that's what the JM2 and Fish Hunter are coming for, or the current Aqua in case you don't have one yet. ;)

If the KM2 keeps the profile, edge and traits of the first one it'll be a hit and a total win! Sure purchase

Great side by side comparisons and points. Yes!

I will own one of those fish hunters when they become available. Love H1 and use a lot.

Here is a snap of a few of my users. I use some of these a ton, and yes, need medical help. :)

Bought a user black handle Aqua from Surfingringo (member here) a few years back, and have been obsessed with H1 for ocean, water, fishing and recreational use ever since...... Sharp easy access knives in a boat save lives.

Personally, they both are a great value for the money. H1 is a must IMO for that use as you have stated. That JM2 probably would be the better choice of what is available today but both great for $$.

Thank you both for your replies. Sounds like the JM2 will work great for what I need.

ThePeacent,
Thanks again, the comparison pics really help.

Dtoad,

Medical help.....nah. :)

Awesome collection!

Wow, awesome collection!
I was also hooked by Surfingringo's posts here and on Spyderco.com forums, where I read and enjoyed his posts about kayak fishing, his discoveries and tests with H1 blades and the things he showed and told from the daily life he has.
Awesome lifestyle, and awesome folks that introduced me to my favorite line of folders (Salts), my favorite steel (H1) and made me to discover and appreciate the great company that Spyderco is.

Now I own most Salt models out there, H1 is my primary steel at work, in the kitchen and on off-work moments, and I'm still looking for some rare Salts to add to the collection (Enuff, Caspian, Catcherman...)

Not enough money and time for all of them, even less with the obligatory purchases for this year (Fish Hunter, Jumpmaster 2) and the arrival of a new, worthy competitor steel, LC200N.

Everything looks so promising for us knife nuts and Spydie-fans in the next years. Can't wait!

Any more thoughts on Jumpmaster 2 vs Aqua salt ? I like the blade shape on the A.S. but how do they compare in hand, if you have used both?Too bad the pics are dead, but maybe my secret reason for kicking this thread was to get someone to post another side-by-side shot :)

I’ll see if I can get a couple of side by side photos on the weekend.

To hold you over; someone asked for a comparison photo the Jumpmaster 2 and the Temperance. Also the Aqua and the Fish hunter.
